Paramount Chief for Lower Axim, Awulae Attibrukusu III has bemoaned the deplorable state of the only Police Bungalow for personnel in the District Command.
According to him, the housing facility, since its construction some forty-six years ago, hasn’t witnessed any rehabilitation, and as such, presents a major threat to the lives of occupants of it.
Speaking at the 2018 Kundum Festival of Lower Axim, Awulae Attibrukusu III appealed to the President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to rehabilitate the structures to state befitting of the service.
“We appeal to government as a matter of urgency to support and rehabilitate the abandoned police bungalow, which has not been attended to for the past forty-six years”, he said.
The theme for the 2018 Lower Axim Kundum festival was “Promoting security in our communities; the role of society and traditional authorities”.
Awulae Attibrukusu III asserted that the traditional authority seek to focus on the security concerns of the people and as well address the basic needs of the security agencies.
“We all know that security is increasingly paramount to every society since their involvement seek to safeguard lives and properties of our society”, he opined.
