The Sefwiman has been admonished to commit to peaceful processes that will lead to the creation of the proposed Western North Region. Paramount Chief for Nsein Traditional Area, Awulae Agyefi Kwame in his advice to the newly inducted paramount chief for Sefwi wiawso, Katakyie Kwasi Bumangama II, charged that separation of the northern part of the region from the south should not trigger any conflict or misunderstanding among tribes, ethnicity or any other groupings in the area.
Awulae Agyefi Kwame stressed that the expectation of the house is to have a unanimous endorsement for the creation of the new region, among the Sefwis come the referendum.
“I don’t think someone among you is against the creation of the new region. If it is, you may come back. We will welcome you”, he said.
“We’ve learnt the referendum will be held on the 27 December, 2018. All we expect is to hear that the proposed western north region has been fully endorsed by the people”, Awulae Agyefi Kwame remarked.
