The Ellembelle District Assembly and the Police Command have placed a two thousand cedis bounty on the four persons who reportedly sexually assaulted a 14 year old at Bobrama in the district.
District Chief Executive Kwasi Bonzo said the amount is evidence of his resolve to make sure the perpetrators are made to pay for the consequence of their dastardly act.
Mr. Bonzo explained “the amount is for anyone who gives us information that will lead to the arrest of the four”.
“I will make sure they are found wherever they are. This will not be entertained under my watch as the DCE for Ellembelle” he told Skyypowerfm.com
He said “I have taken a personal interest in the matter and will do all within my power to see that justice is done”.
Today, January 29, 2018 is exactly a week after the victim’s mother Gifty Ansah reported the incident to the Ellembelle Police Command.
But the police is yet to make any arrest.
Ellembelle DCE Hon Kwesi Bonzu together with the District Police Commander Superintendent Thomas Bayor and other staff of the Assembly on Sunday January 28, 2018 visited the family of the victim to reassure them that the police will do all that they can to arrest the four persons.
The DCE mentioned there are arrangement to look for another school within the district to enroll the victim.
“We want the girl to have her peace of mind to study. We cannot allow her to truncate her education because of a situation she did not brought on herself. That is why we will make sure the perpetrators are caught and punished to serve as deterrent to any irresponsible man who has any intention of going that way”.
