Ghana sanctioned by FIFA over breach in WCQ

Ghana has been sanctioned by the world football governing body, FIFA, for breaching articles 5 and 25 of the regulations of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Ghana is said to have failed to hoist a flag at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the 1-1 Group E draw with Congo. According to FIFA, there were no flags even flown at the stadium. FIFA, as a result, slaps the Ghana Football Association with a warning as its sanction. <blockquoteclass=”twitter-tweet” data-lang=””en””> .@ghanafaofficial issued a warning by @FIFAWorldCup for no flags hoisted at the Baba YaraSports Stadium in the 1-1 draw with Congo. — E.
