Shell Ghana supports golf tournament at Ankobra Golf Club

Over fifty golfers from golf clubs across the Western Region on Saturday October 14, 2017 converged at the Ankobra Golf Club at the Golden Star Resources Bogoso/Prestea Limited for this year’s edition of the Shell Ghana Golf Tournament.

The 18 – hole tournament was for Shell Ghana Limited to reward its customers for keeping faith with the brand.

The 5 hour tourney saw the golfers from the men, the women and children divisions traverse several holes trying to outplay each other. Although it rained before tee off the golfers recorded impressive scores.

In the women’s division Floria Huitubise recorded 39 points to emerge the winner.

With 37 points, Moses Eshun was first in the men’s group C category while Gideon Davidson scored 40 points to lead the Men’s group B.

Foster Korang won the Men’s group A category with 41 Points.

Young Michael Essau also scored 34 points to take the Kids competition.

Each of the winners took home rewards including flat screen televisions, mobile phones, tablets, school bags, Shell souvenirs among others.

Commercial manager of VIVO Energy Brahima Kome in an interview with Skyy news after the tournament expressed gratitude to the golfers for turning up in their numbers for the competition.

Mr. Kome indicated apart from the business opportunity, the company is creating an enabling environment to build lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with its customers.

President of the Ankobra Golf Club Rodney Oduoy was grateful to Shell Ghana for the support.

“The sponsors have done a fantastic job, Shell have been with us for a long time. They sponsor every year which is very good of them. This year especially they did a good job in terms of the prizes, the setup of the place and everything, they spent a lot in getting the place right. We look forward to more collaborations”.
