The Wassa East District capital, Daboase, has erupted in spontaneous celebration, as the town shows appreciation for the confirmation of the DCE nominee, Wilson Arthur.
Just a few hours ago, Wilson Arthur was confirmed by the Assembly after failing to secure the needed two-thirds majority in the first exercise which took place last week Monday.
In that poll, he fell short of the needed 20 yes votes to secure the nomination, polling 19 against 11 no votes.
This time round, the media mogul landed a comfortable 23 “yes” votes and 7 “no” votes, representing 77.6% of the total valid votes.
There were no rejected ballots and no absentees.
